STEPS FOR WINTERIZING

  • Turn lever on the back of hot water heater to by-pass (inside trailer).
  • On the hot water heater, release pressure by pulling lever on pressure relief valve. Then drain hot water  heater by removing drain plug located on the bottom part of the tank. (Both plug and valve are outside.)
  • Drain potable (fresh) water tank. The drain is located by the tank.
  • Disconnect water line from fresh water tank going to pump (at the pump) and hook up winterize hose to the pump at that connection.
  • Put other end of winterize hose in to antifreeze jug. Turn on pump.
  • Open taps one at a time until red antifreeze comes out. Close tap and open next tap until all are done, including toilet and optional exterior shower.
  • Turn pump off and release pressure by opening tap. On the city water outlet outside, remove screen and push center of connection until antifreeze comes out.
  • Once antifreeze is in all the water lines reconnect water line from fresh water tank to pump.
  • Also, pour some antifreeze down sink drains. (Just a couple shots to fill traps.)
  • Make sure battery is fully charged then disconnect for winter

        This should complete winterizing.
